Can’t remember the last time I received something so handmade and heartfelt ♡ Thank goodness I decided to only look at it properly when I got home, totally couldn’t get through the individual messages without tearing up :’) and the rest of the time was spent alternating between being amused at the creative A-Z headings and laughing my head off at the hilarious captions. HAHA I must have looked quite crazy. But the pages of this little black book brought back so many memories of the 10 weeks we spent together (: and I pray that we’ll create more in time to come, slowly but surely.
Thank you, my REAL2013 kids ♥ I’ve been tremendously blessed by each one of you. Thank you for letting me journey alongside you all (almost like a fellow REAL batchmate) and for giving me the REAL experience I never had. Let’s continue to walk closely to God and allow Him to work in and through us in ways only He can, for apart from Him we can do nothing. And thank you Lord, the One who freely gave and saw us through the impossible. It’s easy with Jesus!!! (:

For Real
REAL 2013 has ended. For real.
Such a mix of emotions. I’m so glad it’s finally over and I can catch my breath a little now. Felt like I was thrown into it without enough preparation and without fully seeing what was coming. But God was faithful and has seen me through in ways I could never have imagined. Despite all the time and effort and lack of sleep and whatnots, it was worth it. Watching the five young ones grow was worth it. Touching hearts and souls in Cambodia was worth it. Seeing God move in and through our lives was worth it. Truly, apart from Christ we can do nothing.
I’m gonna miss the five of them so much. How they spontaneously break out into songs and dances and crazy mushy words, how they get so amused by the slightest things, how they are so hungry to learn and apply what they know, how they willingly serve without much complaint. And also..there goes my lunch companions for the past two months!
Time for me to assimilate myself back into the office haha. Though the move to GII is taking place real soon and new changes await! I just pray I won’t be allowed to work from home too much. I can’t!! ><
For now, let me just hide from work for a little while. Need some time of rest first! Which started off very well – met some of my favourites over the past two days (: thank you Jesus!
Do you sometimes feel like there is so much on your plate that you are constantly running to get it all done? There are seasons when we need to go the extra mile and give it our all, and there are seasons to rest and rejuvenate. I love what today’s scripture tells us—that during those times when it’s necessary; we can run and not grow weary!
What are you facing that seems to be taking all your energy? Wait on the Lord today. Expect, look for, and hope in Him. The Bible promises that when you live with expectancy, when you stay hopeful, when you make preparations for the goodness of God, you’ll rise up higher. Your strength will be renewed. In other words, you will overcome life’s challenges.
You may have difficulties today, but if you can just get up every morning expecting God to turn it around, staying positive and hopeful; then God promises you will rise up higher into the strength and victory He has in store for you.
